Recycling Services

The City of Richland is seeking a qualified Service Provider to provide recycling services, including collection and processing of recyclable materials from various locations within the City. The Service Provider will be responsible for collecting and processing materials from drop-box locations, curbside recycling programs, and City-owned facilities. The contract will be for a period of 36 months, with the option for up to seven one-year extensions. The City estimates the cost for this project to be between $225,000 and $325,000. Key aspects of the job include: • Collection and processing of recyclable materials from drop-box locations and curbside recycling programs • Provision of a facility to receive and process recyclable materials • Collection of office paper recycling from City-owned facilities • Provision of detailed reporting and documentation to ensure compliance with material handling requirements and disposal regulations • Maintenance of equipment in a clean and sanitary condition • Cooperation with the City to resolve any operational or maintenance issues that may arise.
