Small Micro Reactor

The Department of the Air Force is conducting market research to identify potential offerors for the design, licensing, fueling, construction, and deployment of Small, Micro, or Modular Reactor (SMR) technologies. The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to understand the company's capability to support compliant, fuel-secure, and commercially scalable reactor deployment strategies. The information collected will help assess industry confidence in achieving and installing a commercially viable Nth-of-a-Kind (NOAK) capability. Some key points to consider include: • The Government is seeking information on industry capabilities to support SMR technologies • The RFI is not a solicitation for proposals, and the Government does not intend to award a contract based on this solicitation • Respondents are asked to provide information on their company's core SMR technology offering, technical capability, regulatory and licensing readiness, fuel supply and fuel cycle strategy, deployment and construction strategy, safety, security, and compliance, financial and commercial structure, mission integration and scalability, and execution and organizational capability • The Government will use the information collected to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement
