The National Network of STI Prevention Training Centers (NNPTC)

The Centers for Disease Control - NCHHSTP is seeking applications for the National Network of STI Clinical Prevention Training Centers (NNPTC). The purpose of this funding opportunity is to support the development and dissemination of education, training, and technical assistance for clinicians and disease intervention professionals to improve sexually transmitted infection (STI) patient care. The goal is to improve the capacity of providers, clinical sites, and healthcare systems to diagnose, manage, treat, and counsel individuals with and at-risk for STIs, in order to reduce STI morbidity and improve health on an individual, local, and national level. • The funding will support the development of education and training programs for clinicians and disease intervention professionals. • The programs will focus on prevention strategies for STIs. • The funding will also support the dissemination of technical assistance to healthcare systems and clinical sites. • The goal is to reduce STI morbidity and improve health outcomes. • The funding opportunity is open to a wide range of applicants, including unrestricted eligibility.
