FURNITURE WAREHOUSING, ASSEMBLY, DELIVERY, AND INSTALLATION SVCS - CHARLESTON VAMC

The Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center is seeking a contractor to provide furniture warehousing, assembly, delivery, and installation services. The contractor will be responsible for receiving, inventorying, delivering, and installing furniture and fixtures for the medical center and its associated community-based outreach clinics. The contractor must provide a clean, temperature- and humidity-controlled receiving facility with loading docks. The services will include trips to the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center on a regular basis and to outlying outpatient clinics on a less frequent basis. The contractor must also provide labor and moving services, including disassembling and reassembling furniture, and performing minor repairs. Key requirements include: • Providing a clean, temperature- and humidity-controlled receiving facility with loading docks • Having experience in commercial and/or biomedical moving • Ability to read floor plans and drawings in AutoCad • Providing a comprehensive inventory of excess furniture • Ensuring all staff and crew wear clean, labeled shirts/coats to identify themselves as contractors
