The State of Colorado, Department of Corrections is seeking architectural and engineering professional services for the renovation of the existing inmate shower facilities in Fremont Correctional Facility's Living Unit 7 and for general population ADA improvements. The project aims to address life safety, security, and PREA concerns, and to provide ADA-compliant showers. The selected firm will provide basic services as described in the sample Architect/Engineer/Consultant Agreement. • The project involves the renovation of existing shower facilities and the addition of new showers to create a safer environment for inmates. • The project also includes general population ADA improvements to provide mobility-accessible beds and to address substance use disorder treatment programs. • The selected firm will be required to attend a mandatory pre-submittal conference and site tour. • The firm will be evaluated based on their experience, project approach, and team capabilities. • The project is expected to start in October 2026, with an anticipated construction start/finish date to be determined.
