The King County Library System is seeking a qualified general contractor to execute a full interior renovation of the 22,600‑sq‑ft Kent Library. The scope covers demolition, re‑configuration of interior spaces, upgrades to restrooms, accessibility, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire‑protection, low‑voltage, and life‑safety systems, as well as installation of finishes, casework, fixtures, signage, and integration of owner‑provided shelving and technology. The project must be completed within a five‑month construction window, adhering to Washington prevailing‑wage rules, apprenticeship utilization, and extensive insurance and bonding requirements.
