Courtesy Patrol Program

The West Virginia Purchasing Division is soliciting bids for the operation of a statewide Courtesy Patrol Program. The program aims to provide roadside assistance to disabled vehicles or stranded motorists on West Virginia's interstate and corridor routes. The vendor will be responsible for patrolling all designated routes, providing assistance to motorists, and maintaining a communication center to handle notifications and dispatch patrol units. The vendor must also provide a toll-free telephone number for the program and ensure that all patrol trucks are equipped with the necessary equipment and supplies. Key requirements for the vendor include: • Having a project manager with experience managing a similar courtesy patrol program • Completing certified training for Homeland Security and Amber/Silver Alert Programs • Maintaining a drug-free workplace • Providing uniforms and equipment for patrollers • Establishing a communication center to handle notifications and dispatch patrol units • Maintaining vehicle service records and providing them to the WVDOH upon request
