SIDEWALK AND PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE SNOW REMOVAL

The Prince George's County Office of Procurement is seeking proposals for sidewalk and pedestrian bridge snow removal services. The contract will be for a base period of approximately 3 months, with two 1-year option periods. The successful contractor will be responsible for providing hand-equipped crews to remove snow and ice from sidewalks and pedestrian bridges. The crews will use walk-behind snow blowers, powered brooms, snow shovels, and pushers to clear the snow and ice. The contractor will also be responsible for furnishing all required deicing materials. The county has established uniform hourly crew rates for this solicitation, and the contractor will be paid based on these rates. • The contractor must be certified as a County Based Business, County-Based Minority Business Enterprise, County-Based Small Business, County-Based Small Minority Business Enterprise, or County-Located business. • The contractor must provide a minimum crew formation of four crew members plus one supervisor, equipped with four walk-behind snow blowers and/or powered brooms, four snow shovels and/or pushers, one portable or walk-behind spreader, and one light-duty support vehicle. • The contractor must have experience in providing similar services. • The contractor must have the necessary equipment and personnel to perform the work. • The contractor must be able to communicate effectively with non-English-speaking crew members. • The contractor must provide a bilingual supervisor. • The contractor must be able to work in a team environment and follow instructions. • The contractor must be able to provide all necessary safety equipment and follow safety protocols.
