The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to provide interested parties with information to enable them to prepare and submit a proposal for Unarmed Security Guard Services for single point of access at the Portage County Courthouse. The County of Portage is seeking a qualified contractor to provide unarmed security guard services to a single point of access at the Portage County Courthouse between the hours of 7am to 5:00pm, Monday thru Friday on a weekly basis. Some key responsibilities of the security guard services include: • Maintaining control of building single point access by staff and pedestrians utilizing scanning equipment • Verifying visitors and employees, identification, incident, and daily operating reports, responding as necessary to support other life safety duties • Assisting in directing traffic and managing crowds • Investigating suspicious activities and reporting to the on-duty Sheriff Office Supervisor • Preparing and presenting clear, accurate written reports The contract shall be effective from the date mutually agreed upon from 2026 through completion date of December 31st, 2029, with an option for a 3-year renewal by mutual agreement of both parties.
