Uptown Business Improvement District Street Design

The Uptown Butte Business Improvement District (BID) and the Urban Revitalization Agency (URA) are seeking proposals from qualified firms to conduct a Transportation & Urban Design Assessment and Direction focused on the revitalization of Uptown Butte, Montana. The selected consultant will provide a clear, actionable vision and prioritized strategy to guide future transportation, public realm, and urban design investments. The project will be conducted through an intensive, multi-day, in-person workshop process. The consultant will evaluate existing transportation and urban design conditions, identify opportunities to improve the public realm, and develop concept-level design strategies that support economic and social revitalization. • Evaluate existing transportation and urban design conditions within the Uptown Butte Business Improvement District boundary • Identify opportunities to improve the public realm (transportation, streets, open spaces, land use relationships) • Develop concept-level design strategies that support economic and social revitalization • Produce a prioritized set of recommendations and next steps • Align recommendations with community values, stakeholder input, building upon existing plans including the Uptown Butte Master Plan
