Design, Construction Administration and Inspection Services for CBJ Offices Interior Improvements

The City and Borough of Juneau is seeking a consultant to provide design, construction administration, and inspection services for the CBJ Offices Interior Improvements project. The project involves renovating two floors of the Michael J Burns Building to accommodate 13 city departments. The consultant will be responsible for providing professional design and engineering services, including architectural, mechanical, and electrical design, as well as cost estimating services. The scope of work includes developing bid-ready construction drawings, specifications, and estimates, as well as providing construction administration and inspection services. • The project requires a fiscally responsible design response, with a target Maximum Allowable Construction Cost (MACC) of $4,500,000. • The consultant will be required to conduct a LEED feasibility assessment and provide assistance with LEED exception procedures if necessary. • The consultant will be responsible for coordinating with the CBJ Project Manager and stakeholders throughout the project development milestones. • The consultant will be required to provide design clarification and respond to contractor requests for information during construction. • The consultant will be responsible for providing a minimum of 14 calendar days for owner review upon submittal of each deliverable milestone.
