RFP-Manufacturing Succession Readiness for Rhode Island Manufacturers-Addendum 1

The Rhode Island Commerce Corporation seeks a qualified provider to deliver a one‑year succession‑readiness program for state manufacturers. The scope includes three core tasks: (1) coaching owners through exit and transition planning, (2) training current employees and developing a pipeline of local “would‑be” buyers, and (3) facilitating matchmaking events that connect owners with qualified buyers. Proposals must outline outreach strategies, detail any subcontractors (who require written approval), and demonstrate capability to produce supporting video/film content. The contract will begin in Fall 2027 and must conclude by September 2027 (extendable to March 2028). • Owner succession coaching – workshops, webinars, one‑on‑one guidance, and development of succession plans. • Employee and buyer training – curriculum design and delivery for manufacturing staff and prospective buyers. • Matchmaking & networking – organization of events that introduce owners to local buyers, with no requirement for completed transactions.
