P-51D Aircraft for Aerial Demonstration and Static Display

The US Air Force is seeking a P-51D Gunfighter aircraft for the 2026 Offutt AFB "Defenders of Freedom" Air and Space Show. The selected contractor will be responsible for providing the aircraft, performing a 10-15 minute aerial demonstration for each show date, and assuming the role of a static display with crew available to engage with spectators. The aircraft must have a paint scheme that reflects the colors of the 55th Fighter Wing during World War II and must comply with AFMAN 10-1004, paragraph 4.2.4. The contractor will also be required to provide a digital press/media kit, a video in High Definition, and be available for interviews with the media. Some key requirements and responsibilities include: * Performing within limitations prescribed by Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and any Federal Aviation Regulation Waiver(s) in effect during the airshow * Providing all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to provide display and/or demonstration of the provided aircraft * Providing a Civil Aircraft Certificate of insurance, Civil Aircraft Landing Permit, and Civil Aircraft Hold Harmless Agreement * Coordinating all forms of media to include social media, websites, and news posts through Offutt Public Affairs prior to dissemination
