The Massachusetts State Police Fleet Unit is seeking qualified contractors to provide vehicle maintenance and repair services for its fleet of vehicles, including marked and unmarked cruisers, utility vehicles, trucks, command post/specialty vehicles, and motorcycles. The contract will cover services such as vehicle diagnostics and repair, routine maintenance, complex repairs involving mechanical and electrical systems, software updates, and transmission repairs. The contractor must provide first-priority service to the State Police, and all work must be performed by experienced ASE certified personnel. The contract will be for an initial duration of up to 2 years, with the option to renew for up to 6 additional years. • The contractor must provide liability insurance prior to contract execution, with limit amounts to be established during negotiations. • The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, parts, supplies, etc. to perform needed services and keep vehicles in proper working order. • All parts must be OEM or equal quality, and the contractor must receive prior approval from the State Police Fleet Section to use non-OEM parts for all service. • The contractor must guarantee a one-year/12,000-mile warranty on rebuilt transmissions, and provide factory remanufactured warranty 3-year/100,000 mile. • The contractor must provide a secure facility, subject to periodic inspection by State Police personnel to ensure proper security is provided for all State Police vehicles.
