MOTT FY27 MASSACHUSETTS REGIONAL TOURISM COUNCIL GRANT PROGRAM

The Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism (MOTT) is seeking applications for the FY27 Regional Tourism Council Grant Program. The program aims to promote tourism, convention, travel, and recreation in the Commonwealth. Eligible applicants are public or nonprofit agencies that have been in operation for two consecutive years and have a total budget larger than the average of Massachusetts tourist promotion agencies. The grant program has a projected funding level of approximately $7.5 million. Key aspects of the grant program include: • Attracting, servicing, and promoting visitors traveling to the Regional Tourism Council's Designated Service Area • Managing and distributing the influx of visitors • Promotional programs and projects that encourage and stimulate tourist, convention, visitor, and vacation business • Target markets may include domestic and international leisure travelers, meetings, business, and conference travel, sports-related travel, group travel, agritourism, art and culture-related travel, and incentive travel • Applicants must provide a 1:1 dollar-for-dollar match and expend the funds according to the approved Marketing Plan and Budget within the fiscal year • Grant funds and matching funds must be used responsibly to strengthen the Commonwealth's efforts to increase travel to and within Massachusetts Some of the key requirements for the application include: • A completed application package with all required fields and attachments • A list of the organization's governing board • Campaign creative samples from FY26 • A completed Excel spreadsheet using the template provided • A marketing plan and estimated budget • A marketing plan presentation The application deadline is Monday, June 8, 2026, at 3:00 p.m.
