Provide Organic and Plastic Processing Services to the Municipality of Anchorage (MOA), Solid Waste Services (SWS)

The Municipality of Anchorage is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive organic‑waste processing (up to 1,000 tons per year) and plastics‑recycling services (approximately 1,000 loads per year) for its Solid Waste Services program. The work includes collection/haul‑away of organics, receipt of organics from the municipal Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) with mileage reimbursement, and haul‑away and processing of clean #1, #2, and #5 plastics, with required on‑site staffing and the ability to self‑haul material to off‑site processing facilities. The contract runs May 1 2026 through April 30 2027 (service season May‑October) with possible one‑year renewals. Bidders must be an established MOA vendor, meet insurance requirements, and submit a fully‑filled bid proposal by the deadline. • Organics Processing Services – haul‑away up to 1,000 tons, compost or other beneficial use. • Organics Receipt – SWS delivers organics; contractor reimbursed $2.51 per mile plus per‑ton price. • Plastics Processing Services – collect, sort and recycle #1, #2, #5 plastics; daily staffing Mon‑Sat 8:00 am‑3:30 pm. • Mandatory FOB‑Destination pricing, mileage reimbursement, and compliance with Anchorage municipal code.
