Description
The State of Alaska is seeking qualified contractors to provide on‑call (as‑needed) services for testing, removal, transport, and disposal of used oil and oily waste from Alaska Marine Highway System vessels and shore‑side holding tanks at the Juneau/Auke Bay terminal. Contractors must be able to respond within 24 hours of a state request, provide standby coverage when waiting for vessels, and charge per‑gallon rates for waste removal plus hourly standby fees. The work includes on‑site sampling, laboratory analysis for hazardous constituents (benzene, PCBs, metals, etc.), documentation, and compliance with federal and state environmental regulations. Bids are due 2 pm AST on 2 Nov 2026; the contract will be awarded by early November and will be an “as‑needed” indefinite‑delivery/indefinite‑quantity (IDIQ) arrangement with no guaranteed minimum volume.
