Telecom Lasers

The US Air Force is proposing a sole-source contract for the procurement of telecom lasers. The required lasers have specific technical specifications, including a tunable wavelength range of 1510-1630 nm and an extremely narrow instantaneous frequency linewidth of 0.3 kHz. The Government has determined that Toptica Photonics is the sole-source provider of the required telecom lasers. Although this is not a request for competitive proposals, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement or proposal, which shall be considered by the agency.
