PHNSY Heavy-duty Tractor Rental

The Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and IMF is conducting market research to identify parties interested in and capable of providing heavy-duty tractor rental services. The contractor will be required to provide four heavy-duty tractors that meet or exceed specific performance and capacity requirements. The tractors must have a minimum gross combined weight rating of 140,000 lbs., a minimum gross vehicle weight rating of 60,700 lbs., and a minimum payload capacity of 40,000 lbs. The tractors must also have a minimum engine power of 500 horsepower, an automatic transmission, and a heavy-duty front axle and suspension. Some key features and specifications of the tractors include: • Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR) of at least 140,000 lbs. • Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of at least 60,700 lbs. • Payload capacity of at least 40,000 lbs. • Engine power of at least 500 horsepower • Automatic transmission designed for heavy-haul, stop-and-go industrial applications • Heavy-duty front axle and suspension with a minimum capacity of 20,000 lbs. • All-Wheel Drive (AWD) for maximum traction on various surfaces • Tandem rear axles with a high weight capacity suitable for the specified GVWR and GCWR • Driver-controlled locking differential for enhanced traction • Severe-duty rated, oscillating fifth-wheel coupling compatible with standard Navy trailers • Heavy-duty, industrial-grade tires suitable for shipyard conditions • Fully enclosed cab with functional air conditioning and heating • 360-degree visibility with large, damage-free mirrors and windows • Ergonomic, air-ride operator's seat to reduce fatigue • Keyless ignition system to prevent unauthorized use • Audible backup alarm and a 360-degree amber strobe/beacon light for high visibility • LED-type headlights, brake lights, and turn signals • A mounted and certified 5 lb. ABC fire extinguisher • A legible and permanently affixed manufacturer's data plate with GCWR, GVWR, Gross Axle Weight Ratings (GAWR), VIN, and date of manufacture • A complete and legible operator's manual provided with the tractor upon delivery
