The Commonwealth of Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (District 8) is soliciting bids for the rental of a broad suite of heavy‑construction equipment with qualified operators. The contract will be awarded on a lowest‑price‑technically‑acceptable basis and covers a range of machinery needed for road, bridge and flood‑debris removal projects. Vendors must submit hourly rates for each piece of equipment, provide manufacturer/model details, and be able to mobilize equipment within 24 hours of notice. All work is performed under the direction of the Transportation Cabinet and includes fuel, maintenance, and operator costs. • Line items include excavators (standard and long‑reach), hydraulic hammers, tree‑mulching attachments, dump trucks, articulated trucks, skid‑steer loaders, road wideners, vibratory rollers, milling machines, wheel loaders, flaggers, various attachments (cold planer, road widener, vibratory ripper, hydraulic breaker, crane, etc.). • Quantities are expressed in estimated hours (e.g., 6,000 hrs for standard excavator, 3,000 hrs for dump truck, 5 hrs for articulated truck, etc.). • Bids must be submitted electronically via Kentucky’s eProcurement system by 13:30 CT on 10 Oct 2026. • Minimum eight‑hour guarantee per work order; emergency mobilization fee of $750 per piece of equipment that starts within 24 hrs. • Vendors must be registered in the Commonwealth’s Vendor Self‑Service system and provide required affidavits, insurance certificates, and equipment specifications.
