LEASED LIT FIBER, LEASED DARK FIBER AND SELF PROVISION FIBER

The City of Hartford is seeking proposals for leased lit fiber, leased dark fiber, and self-provisioned fiber services to support the delivery of wide area network (WAN) services to the Hartford schools and library district. The selected provider will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining the fiber network, as well as providing ongoing maintenance and support. The contract is expected to begin on July 1, 2025, and will have a term of 60 months. The City is looking for a provider that can offer a reliable, scalable, and secure fiber network solution that meets the needs of the district. • The provider must have experience in designing and installing fiber networks for similar organizations. • The provider must be able to offer a dedicated, symmetrical transport bandwidth of at least 1 Gbps between designated endpoints. • The provider must be able to offer scalable solutions to meet the growing needs of the district. • The provider must be able to provide ongoing maintenance and support for the fiber network. • The provider must be able to offer a secure and reliable fiber network solution that meets the needs of the district.
