Mowing Services at Norwalk Equalization Basin

The City of Des Moines Wastewater Reclamation Authority is seeking quotes from qualified vendors for the provision of annual mowing services for an approximate 115-acre sanitary sewer equalization basin. The contractor will be required to provide all supervision, labor, materials, tools, equipment, and travel to provide quality mowing services. The site must be completely mowed at a minimum of one time per month, with a total of seven mowings per year. The contractor will be paid for one mowing cycle for each mowing occurrence. • The site is an active sanitary sewer equalization basin area which is normally empty. • The contractor will be required to mow all areas within the site, excluding the Tower Area. • The contractor will be responsible for verifying whether the site is dry enough to mow prior to each mowing occurrence. • The contractor will be required to cut the vegetation to a reasonable height (approximately 4 to 6 inches) without scalping the vegetation.
