The VA is seeking market research for a sole‑source, firm‑fixed‑price contract to provide 24/7 STAT laboratory testing at the Syracuse VA Medical Center. The contractor must be fully licensed and accredited in New York, employ board‑certified pathologists, and meet rapid turnaround requirements for specimen pick‑up (≤ 30 min) and result reporting (≤ 5 working days, with immediate telephone notification for critical results). The work includes a base period plus four option periods, with an estimated total value of roughly $41.5 million.
• Provide STAT (emergency) laboratory analysis, including electron microscopy, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, molecular and genetic studies.
• Perform specimen pick‑up, transport, processing, diagnostic reporting, and maintain 24/7 availability for holidays and weekends.
• Hold NYS Clinical Laboratory Permit, CLIA license, and CAP (or Joint Commission) accreditation, and supply pre‑printed requisition forms for billing.
