Inspection, Repairs & Certification of Communication Towers

The West Virginia Department of Homeland Security – Division of Administrative Services is soliciting bids for inspection, repairs, and certification services for communication towers and accessories for the Statewide Interoperable Radio System (SIRN) sites. The contract will be for a base period of one year with four one-year renewal options. The vendor must have at least ten years of experience in tower erection, inspection, installation, and repairs, and must provide all necessary equipment, materials, and labor for the work. The vendor must also comply with all federal, state, county, and city code requirements, and must maintain a continuous 24/7/365 emergency telephone service. Some key responsibilities of the vendor include: • Providing inspection, repair, and certification services for communication towers and accessories • Ensuring that all work is done in accordance with industry standards and federal, state, county, and city code requirements • Maintaining a continuous 24/7/365 emergency telephone service • Responding to emergency requests within thirty minutes and arriving on site within three hours • Providing a written report describing the nature of the work performed after each site visit
