FP In-Home Family Services Alcona-Iosco County

The State of Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is seeking proposals for In-Home Family Services in Alcona and Iosco counties. The selected provider will deliver services to families with children at risk of out-of-home placement due to child abuse or neglect. The provider will work with families to develop goals, provide support and guidance, and connect them with community resources. The contract will be for a period of three years, with the option to renew for up to two additional one-year periods. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing in-home family services to families with children at risk of out-of-home placement • Developing goals and treatment plans with families • Connecting families with community resources • Providing support and guidance to families • Maintaining a high degree of participation and investment in goals • Meeting required service timeframes and needs of the client population • Delivering services without excluding or discriminating against any individual or group Some of the key requirements for bidders include: • Experience working with families with children at risk of out-of-home placement • Ability to provide services in Alcona and Iosco counties • Strong knowledge of community resources and ability to connect families with these resources • Ability to develop and implement treatment plans • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work with diverse populations and maintain a high degree of cultural competence
