New York City’s Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking a qualified concessionaire to renovate, operate, and maintain a carousel, snack bar, and family amusement venue in Forest Park, as well as a carousel, mobile food and souvenir units, and children’s amusement rides in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. The contractor will be responsible for full‑scale refurbishment of existing rides and facilities, ongoing daily operations, staffing, food service, safety compliance, and routine maintenance over the term of the concession. A remote proposer meeting is scheduled for October 5, 2026, and hard‑copy RFPs can be obtained in person or downloaded online. All proposals must be submitted by October 30, 2026 at 3 PM.
• Scope includes renovation of carousel structures, snack‑bar upgrades, and installation/maintenance of mobile food and souvenir kiosks.
• Operate the venues day‑to‑day, manage staffing, food service, ticketing, and ensure compliance with safety and city regulations.
• Provide ongoing preventive maintenance, parts replacement, and capital improvements for the life of the concession.
• Must attend (or review) the recommended remote proposer meeting; site visits are available by appointment but not mandatory.
