PRE-QUALIFICATION OF VENDORS FOR CHEMICALS, PURCH. & DEL.

The Palm Beach County Purchasing Department is seeking pre-qualified vendors for the purchase and delivery of chemicals. The pre-qualified vendors will be invited to participate in periodic pricing requests. The contract is not for the purchase of chemicals awarded under another contract. The County's user department will contact the pre-qualified vendors and invite them to submit a written price quote. The vendors must return the written price quote to the County user department within the specified timeframe. The County will review the quotes and determine the award. The contract will be awarded on an all-or-none basis to the pre-qualified vendor offering the lowest total offer for the individual quotation, with applicable preferences applied. Some key points to consider: • Vendors must have a permanent place of business in Palm Beach County or the Glades to be eligible for local preference. • Vendors must submit a copy of all applicable Certificates of Competency issued by the State of Florida or the Palm Beach County Construction Industry Licensing Board. • Vendors must maintain a current Business Tax Receipt for Palm Beach County and all permits required to complete the contractual service at no additional cost to Palm Beach County. • The County has an Equal Business Opportunity Ordinance that sets forth the County's requirements for the EBO Program, and which is incorporated in this solicitation. • The County has a Local Preference Ordinance that gives a preference to vendors having a permanent place of business in Palm Beach County or the Glades.
