10 Church Street Repurposing

The University of Minnesota is seeking a professional design services firm to facilitate the strategic renovation of the 10 Church Street building. The project involves a comprehensive interior renovation of approximately 86,000 gross square feet and includes large active learning classrooms, study spaces, and administrative departments. The selected firm will be responsible for providing design services, including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration. The project is expected to be completed by December 2029, with a construction cost estimate of $50,000,000. • The project requires the firm to have experience with similar projects and to provide a team with the necessary qualifications and expertise. • The firm will be required to provide a detailed project work plan, project schedule, and project fee. • The University will evaluate proposals based on the evaluation criteria, including respondent team qualifications, project work plan, project schedule, and project fee. • The contract will be a fixed, lump sum fee that includes all costs necessary to complete the work. • The project will be designed to follow the current version of the Minnesota B3 Guidelines for sustainable design.
