Description
The Iowa DNR is seeking qualified, licensed land surveyors to provide professional surveying, mapping, and legal‑description services for a proposed conservation easement on two parcels in Dubuque County. The effort is divided into a preliminary phase (temporary field markings, preliminary plat and aerial‑overlay maps) and a conditional final phase (permanent monumentation, witness posts, and recordation) that will only be performed if the easement is accepted. The contract may be extended annually for up to six years, with a firm‑price guarantee of 120 days.
• Deliver a preliminary Plat of Survey and legal‑description narrative for each parcel, including standard and aerial‑overlay maps.
• Install temporary lath/flag markers at 1/8‑mile intervals and produce a “net acres” calculation.
• If the easement is executed, replace temporary markers with permanent iron re‑rod monuments, install steel witness posts with signage, and record the final survey.
• Provide all deliverables in both hard‑copy and electronic formats; comply with Iowa Code §§ 354 & 355.
