Durable Medical Equipment Loan and Supply Closet Services

The County of Kenosha is seeking a qualified organization to operate the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Loan and Supply Closet, a program that provides donated medical equipment and incontinence supplies at no cost to Wisconsin residents. The contractor will staff the closet (minimum 2 FTE), manage inventory, clean and sanitize equipment, process donations, respond to consumer requests, conduct outreach and education, and submit required performance and financial reports. The contract is a one‑year term starting 01/01/2027 with four optional one‑year renewals, and the program budget is approximately $130,000. • Maintain at least two full‑time loan‑closet assistants (8 am‑5 pm, Mon‑Fri) with coverage plans for absences. • Receive, review, clean, inventory, and distribute donated DME and incontinence products. • Provide timely response to consumer inquiries (phone, email, in‑person) and assist with alternative resources when items are unavailable. • Conduct community outreach, marketing (county‑approved), and public education about the program. • Implement quality‑assurance processes and meet performance metrics (e.g., 100 % case notes within 1 business day, 90 % client satisfaction). • Submit monthly reimbursement claims, detailed inventory reports, and performance data per County requirements.
