Prairie Corners Gravity Sewer Repairs

The Sarpy County is seeking a qualified contractor to make repairs to the gravity sanitary sewer located near Prairie Corners Rd and 143rd Circle. The work includes replacement of approximately 550 linear feet of 12-inch diameter sanitary sewer and two steel cased bores. The project area is on the east and west sides of S. 143rd Circle on the south side of Prairie Corners Road. Key aspects of the job include: • Replacement of 550 linear feet of 12-inch diameter sanitary sewer • Two steel cased bores • Appurtenant work • Compliance with City of Omaha Standard Specifications 2026 • Preconstruction meeting with Sarpy County, HDR, and the contractor • Surveying and staking by the contractor • Materials testing and inspections by the County • Traffic control and access to adjacent properties • Cleaning and purging of piping systems • Location of buried obstacles and thrust block placement Some of the key requirements for the contractor include: • Providing a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid price • Furnishing a performance and payment bond in the amount of 100% of the bid price • Maintaining insurance coverage, including workers' compensation, commercial general liability, and automobile liability • Complying with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to labor, employment, and environmental protection • Providing company information, including previous business names, years in business, number of employees, and total sales for the prior three years • Providing at least three references for similar projects The contract period of performance is 75 calendar days, and the contractor shall agree on an expected start date with Sarpy County.
