Description
This Iowa STEM Teacher Externships program funds secondary STEM teachers to complete a 5‑6‑week summer placement with an Iowa workplace host. Teachers receive up to $5,500 in hourly stipend ($22/hr) plus meeting stipends and a $300 tuition scholarship, and they earn three graduate credits. Hosts benefit from teachers’ contributions to real‑world projects and from the opportunity to shape future curricula.
• Minimum 200 hrs, maximum 240 hrs of on‑site work (≈5‑6 weeks).
• Teachers earn $22 per hour (up to $5,500 total) and $110 meeting stipends.
