The Maryland Office of the Public Defender (OPD) is seeking the services of an experienced law firm to support its transition into a newly unionized labor structure for supervisory employees. The selected firm will need to provide guidance on labor elections, contract negotiations, and the establishment of clear, compliant labor relations policies and procedures. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing labor relations expertise to OPD • Assisting with labor elections and contract negotiations • Developing and implementing labor relations policies and procedures • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations The ideal candidate will have experience in labor law, collective bargaining, and labor relations. The project cost class is estimated to be up to $100,000.
