DRAFT SOLICITATION -- Expert Financial Advisory Services (U.S. Information Technology Sector)

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) is seeking expert financial advisory services from firms with specialized knowledge of the U.S. information technology sector. The selected firm will provide assistance to PBGC's Corporate Finance and Restructuring Department, particularly in leading large distress valuation and turnaround engagements and/or representing clients in a lead capacity on large and complex restructuring and/or bankruptcy transactions. The firm should have prior experience with the PBGC pension termination process and have personnel with relevant expert testimony experience. Some key points to consider include: • The contract value will not exceed $9 million. • The firm should have experience providing in-court or out-of-court restructuring advisory services to a debtor or creditor in a case where the debtor had at least $4 billion in funded debt. • The firm should execute and submit Attachment 6 - Intent to Compete and Non-Disclosure Agreement no later than 48 hours before the closing date of this announcement. • The firm will be required to submit a price quotation using the template provided in Attachment 5.
