The Jefferson Parish Juvenile Court is seeking a qualified contractor to provide complete modernization of two existing hydraulic passenger elevators. The scope includes removal of existing equipment, supply and installation of new hydraulic elevator systems, associated electrical, fire, security, and communication components, and full documentation for operation and maintenance. The work must be performed while keeping the building operational, adhering to all applicable codes (ASME A17.1, NFPA 70/101, ADA, local fire codes), and providing required bonds (5% bid bond, 50% performance and payment bonds). The contractor must hold a Louisiana Limited Specialty Services contractor’s license, a Conveyance Device Mechanic license, and Certified Elevator Technician certification, and must comply with extensive submittal, testing, and close‑out requirements. • Modernize two hydraulic passenger elevators (one glass‑back car, one standard car) at 1546 Gretna Blvd., Harvey, LA. • Provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and incidentals – turnkey scope. • Perform work in an occupied public building with minimal service interruption; no more than one elevator out of service at a time. • Submit electronic bid bond (5% of bid) via Central Bidding; performance and payment bonds (each 50% of contract price) upon award. • Required licenses: LA Limited Specialty Services, Conveyance Device Mechanic, Certified Elevator Technician. • Must meet ASME A17.1, NFPA 70/101, ADA, and local fire authority codes. • Deliver comprehensive as‑installed wiring diagrams, Maintenance Control Program, parts catalogs, keys, and diagnostic equipment within 30 days of final acceptance. • Site visit can be arranged with Robbie Brouillette (504‑364‑2675). • Bid submission deadline: September 29 2026, 2:00 PM CT via www.jeffparishbids.net.
