Seeking Expressions of Interest for Iowa City CLC

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking expressions of interest for a Community Living Center (CLC) in Iowa City, Iowa. The CLC will require approximately 14,957 square feet of space and 99 parking spaces. The lease term will be up to 10 years, with a firm term of 5 years and a non-firm term of 5 years. The VA is looking for a space that meets specific requirements, including accessibility and security standards. The VA will conduct a market survey to evaluate properties that meet the initial requirements. • The space must be located on the ground level entrance of the building and must be contiguous. • The building must be able to comply with the Architectural Barriers Act Accessibility Standards and meet security requirements. • On-site parking must be available for dedicated exclusive use by the VA. • The space must be compatible for the VA's intended use and meet the planned occupancy date of 1 November 2027. • The VA will consider space located in an existing building, new construction, or a building being constructed for multi-tenant use.
