Juneau International Airport Air Traffic Control Tower Roof Replacement

The City and Borough of Juneau is seeking a qualified consultant to provide professional services for the replacement of the existing roof membrane assembly on the aircraft control tower at the Juneau International Airport. The consultant will be responsible for developing design documents, including plans, technical specifications, and a Construction Safety Phasing Plan. The project requires a high level of expertise in planning and design of aviation facilities, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. • The consultant will work with the Owner's Representative, the Operations Committee of the Airport Board, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the FAA Air Traffic Control (FAA-ATCT) staff, airport stakeholders, and the aviation community. • The consultant will develop a cost-effective design to construct the project elements, a safe and efficient phasing plan, and provide effective stakeholder involvement during development of the project design and construction documents. • The consultant will prepare a series of milestone submittals, including a 30% and 75% design stage, and will complete bid-ready construction documents by September 24, 2026. • The consultant will provide limited Construction Administration and Inspection services, including submittal/shop drawing reviews, responses to DCVRs and RFIs, preparation of RFPs, and preparation of Change orders.
