Cross Connection Control Surveys & Management

The St. Mary’s County Metropolitan Commission is soliciting bids for a Cross-Connection Compliance Program, which includes surveys, site visits, management, and monitoring of annual testing of backflow prevention assemblies. The program aims to ensure compliance with Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) requirements. The contractor will be responsible for performing surveys, generating reports, and providing public relations support. The contract period is expected to be four years, with the option for the Commission to extend the contract for three additional one-year periods. Key aspects of the job include: • Conducting initial surveys, compliance surveys, and re-surveys of facilities • Maintaining a database of facility and cross-connection control data • Generating management reports and annual reports • Providing public relations support and customer service • Coordinating with the Contract Manager and MetCom staff
