Description
The City of Flint is seeking a qualified contractor to rehabilitate the right‑hand (east) gate hoist assembly at the Thread Creek Dam. The work includes removal of the existing hoist, installation of a new 1.5 HP brake motor, cone‑drive gearbox, new shaft and pinion gears, replacement of bearings, control‑panel upgrades, and concrete foundation repairs. The contractor must provide full design documentation, perform alignment and testing, and submit a not‑to‑exceed (NTE) time‑and‑materials price proposal. Mandatory pre‑bid conference and site visit are required.
• Mechanical refurbishment: motor, gearbox, couplings, shafts, bearings, and gear assemblies.
• Electrical/control upgrades: new control panel, wiring, programming, and remote operation capability.
• Structural work: removal and replacement of deteriorated concrete foundations, installation of anchor bolts and grout.
• Deliverables: shop drawings, alignment reports, startup/testing documentation, O&M manuals, and a one‑year warranty.
