Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking to acquire a Shukla Neuro Surgical Instrument Kit for the Portland VA Medical Center's Neurosurgery Service Line. The kit is required to support scheduled and emergent spine procedures that involve the explantation of previously implanted hardware. The Shukla Spine-CTL Universal Spinal Screw Removal System is a patented and proprietary design that is uniquely suited to meet the clinical needs of spine revision and extraction procedures. The system includes over 130 spinal drivers, including 40 proprietary implant-specific drivers, and is designed for revision and emergency use. * The system is required to ensure continuity of care, patient safety, and operational readiness. * The kit is a direct replica of the equipment currently in use at the Portland VA Medical Center. * The system's patented Helicopter Socket technology allows for the engagement of damaged, stripped, or broken spinal screws. * The system's design reduces reliance on vendor representatives for urgent or emergent cases. * The system is designed for ergonomic and efficiency-focused use, reducing surgeon fatigue.
