Fiscal Support

Workforce Solutions Capital Area (WFS) is seeking qualified individuals or firms to provide supplemental professional accounting and fiscal support to its Fiscal Department. The contractor will prepare financial reports, perform reconciliations, support audits, and offer technical accounting guidance, but will not act as the Board’s CFO. The contract is a one‑year initial term (Oct 1 2026 – Sep 30 2027) with up‑to‑four optional one‑year extensions (maximum five years). The solicitation values the work at up to $1 million. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, at least seven years of progressive accounting experience (including three years in senior leadership), experience with governmental/non‑profit fund accounting, familiarity with 2 CFR Part 200, and proficiency in MIP fund‑accounting software and Excel. Proposals must be submitted electronically by 3:00 PM CST on September 25 2026; questions are due by September 10 2026.
