Request for Proposal 2026-2027 Roadway/Street Right of Way Mowing

The City of North Platte is seeking proposals for the mowing of roadway and street right-of-way areas. The contract period will be for the remainder of the 2026 season and the 2027 mowing season. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, equipment, and materials to perform the mowing cycles in accordance with the City's specifications and directions. The contractor will be paid based on a unit price per acre, and the City reserves the right to accept the bid that is in its best interest, whether or not it is the lowest bid. Some key requirements include: • Mowing areas will be designated by the City, and the contractor must mow these areas to a height of 4 inches. • The contractor must use rotary mowers and keep them in good working condition. • The contractor must not damage any fixed objects, such as signs, poles, and trees, and must repair or replace any damaged areas at no cost to the City. • The contractor must submit invoices for payment after each completed mowing cycle, and payment will be made based on the contractor's price per acre.
