Description:
The project involves the supply, installation, and testing of a stainless-steel pipeline for the transportation of Argon gas at the LBNF facility. The pipeline will be used to transport approximately 40,000 metric tons of Argon from the surface to the Central Utility Cavern (CUC) at the 4850 Level. The scope of work includes the supply and installation of the pipeline, as well as testing to ensure its integrity. • The pipeline will be 8” diameter Schedule 10 between the Argon Receiving Facility and the Ross shaft. • The pipeline will be 6” diameter schedule 10 from Ross shaft collar to the 4850 Level. • The pipeline will return to 8” diameter schedule 10 from the Ross shaft to the CUC. • The Argon will arrive at the Ross Shaft Argon Receiving station in liquid form and will be stored in tanks before being converted to the gaseous phase.
