On-Call Professional Design and Engineering Services – Parking Division (2027-2028)

The City of Iowa City is soliciting qualifications from consultants to provide professional engineering and design services for City projects, specifically for the Parking Division. The selected consultants will be utilized for contracts approved through December 31, 2028. The scope of services includes planning, design, and construction-related work on parking garage and ramp projects. The City encourages firms with expertise in facility assessment and master planning, design, routine maintenance and repair, and construction administration and inspection to submit a response to this Request for Qualifications. Some key points to consider include: • The City owns and operates six parking garage ramp facilities, with various sizes and structures. • The qualification submittals will be used to evaluate and rate consultants for work on City of Iowa City Parking Division projects. • The City will negotiate the detailed scope of services and fee with the selected firm for each project. • Each contract for engineering and design services will be a full-service design contract that may include project management, survey and field verification, and construction administration and inspection services. • The City reserves the right to select consultant firms and award contracts that are in the best interests of the City.
