HSCC Fiber Optic Installation

The Hot Springs Convention Center is seeking proposals for a Fiber Optic Installation Project. The project involves installing fiber optic cables throughout the building, including pulling new, armored, plenum single mode fiber from network closets to the main server room/DEMARc. The contractor will need to provide lifts and other equipment to complete the scope of work. The project requires certifying all strands of fiber, providing a copy of the fiber test results, and labeling all fiber terminating locations. The work will need to be done outside of normal office hours and around the event schedule as needed. Key aspects of the project include: • Pulling and terminating OS2 Single Mode Fiber (Armored & Plenum) from network locations to the main server room/DEMARc • Certifying all strands of fiber • Installing surface and rack mounted LIUs • Labeling all fiber terminating locations • Testing and providing results in PDF format The project will require working around the event schedule and obtaining measurements of fiber lengths using Google Earth or alternative methods.
