SOURCES SOUGHT- US ARMY West Point Moving, Relocation of Archives Special Collections

The U.S. Army is seeking sources for the relocation of the Archives and Special Collections of the USMA Library from Bartlett Hall North to Cullum Hall. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, supervision, equipment, facilities, supplies, services, and materials for the relocation. The collections to be moved include approximately 11,000 feet of archives and special collections materials, including bound volumes, manuscripts, photographs, and memorabilia. The contractor must have significant experience in moving similar types of special and fragile library materials. The move will require careful handling and protection of the materials, and the contractor must provide a detailed plan for the move, including the use of specialized equipment and supplies. Some key aspects of the job include: • Moving approximately 11,000 feet of archives and special collections materials • Handling and protecting rare, fragile, and irreplaceable items • Providing specialized equipment and supplies for the move • Conducting a site visit to measure distances and note facility dimensions • Developing a detailed plan for the move • Coordinating with the COR to ensure a smooth and successful relocation
