Description

The State of Maine is issuing a competitive Request for Quotations to establish a master‑agreement for the purchase of Photo‑Ionization Detector (PID) systems and related accessories, consumables, and training. The contract will be a one‑year base period (July 1 2026 – June 30 2027) with up to four optional one‑year extensions. The award will be made to the lowest qualified price, and the State will order equipment on an as‑needed basis. • Required items include ION Science Tiger XT PID detectors (PPM and PPB models), filters, calibration gases, chargers, batteries, lamps, and an accessories kit. • Additional services include in‑person use and basic maintenance training for the equipment. • The solicitation mandates all‑inclusive FOB‑Destination pricing, a 180‑day bid validity, and a one‑year price guarantee; delivery orders may be placed up to $5,000 via State P‑Card, larger orders via Delivery Orders.

Budget estimate

$50,000 – $150,000

No contract value is disclosed. Based on typical market prices for the listed PID detectors (≈ $3,500–$5,000 each) plus accessories, calibration gases, chargers, spare parts, and training, the first‑year spend is likely in the $50 k–$150 k range. Extensions could increase the total but the base‑year estimate provides a reasonable ballpark for the vendor’s revenue.
