Maintenance, Repair, and Preservation of YRBM-50

The U.S. Navy’s Regional Maintenance Center at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard seeks a qualified small‑business contractor to perform a comprehensive, stand‑alone firm‑fixed‑price maintenance, repair, and preservation effort on the historic vessel YRBM‑50. Work must be performed at a facility located within the Puget Sound, WA region and includes cleaning, inspections, hull plating repairs, blast and paint preservation, tank ventilation and maintenance, deck non‑skid installation, multiple system upgrades (hot‑water heater, awning, HVAC, switchboard, communications), and final dock trials. The vessel will be available for work from 31 Mar 2027 to 31 Mar 2028, and the contractor must provide red‑line drawings and coordinate delivery and undocking logistics with the government. • Perform full ship cleaning, hull plating thickness measurements, and repair areas below minimum thickness. • Conduct blast‑painting of hull, decks, and superstructure; apply new non‑skid deck coating. • Service and certify potable water system; clean and ventilate 24 ballast tanks/voids. • Install/replace hot‑water heater, awning, A/C plant, backup systems, switchboard, 1MC, phone and CCTV systems. • Repair hull fendering, hawse‑hole, and bolster; execute access‑cover and watertight hatch repairs. • Provide updated red‑line drawings, conduct dock trials, and manage vessel delivery/undocking logistics.
