6810--VA Phoenix Coarse Salt Supply for Boiler Plant

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking sources capable of providing coarse salt supply for the VA Phoenix boiler plant. The contract will be a single award Indefinite-delivery Indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract for five years. The contractor will be responsible for providing bulk delivery of salt, on-site inspections, and monthly invoice reports. The estimated quantity of salt needed is 40,000 to 50,000 pounds per month. Some key requirements and responsibilities of the contractor include: • Providing bulk delivery of salt to the Phoenix VA Health Care System main boiler plant salt silo • Supplying monthly delivery of approximately 40,000 to 50,000 pounds of salt • Providing on-site inspections and ensuring safe delivery • Providing clean-up in case of accidental spills • Providing a 4-inch coupling hose for discharging the bulk delivery of salt • Managing and coordinating deliveries with designated POCs • Notifying VA Phoenix staff of any anticipated or expected issues that might arise due to late delivery, strikes, and delays of any nature
