Lamoille County Facility Site Identification Study

Rural Community Transportation, Inc. (RCT) is seeking a consultant to perform a Site Identification Study to locate and evaluate potential sites for the construction of a new RCT facility in Lamoille County. The consultant will identify at least five sites, prepare a narrative summary for each site, and create an evaluation matrix to compare the sites. The study should consider factors such as location, road access, topography, utility availability, zoning, and acquisition costs. The consultant will also meet with RCT staff to present the results of the study. • The sites must be located in the towns of Stowe or Morristown in Lamoille County. • The road network must support the travel of transit vehicles. • The sites must be able to accommodate a building of approximately 5,000 square feet and allow for ingress/egress of buses. • The zoning must allow for the intended use as a transit administrative, operating, and bus storage facility. • RCT does not anticipate purchasing/leasing the site until 2027, so sites must offer the ability to delay purchase/lease until 2027.
